In the view of extending the reach of her software to the varied levels of education and learning, and beyond just the ground-breaking simulation programs, A/Prof Dr Arfah pushed further her research with great success in producing CBL’s present signature products – the GenerRes and Asset series of learning software packages, with strong endorsement by the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountant (MICPA).

These packages for the first time combine subject matter contents with a simulation program that provides full cycle accounting record keeping processes from the generation of source documents to the preparation of financial statements. Incorporated in this package is `BridgeLine’ - a self-help menu that provides navigational guidance and content reference for user simulation practice.

The GenerReS software complements tertiary level accounting coursework. It won Gold Medal awards at the Science and Technology Exhibition 2003 and University Putra Malaysia (UPM) Invention and Research Award 2003. GenerReS has since been incorporated as required courseware in UPM and more than five other institutions of higher education including the Open University Malaysia.
