ASSETBase
CBL has since established close collaborative partnerships with two established
international bodies; the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA)
and the London chambers of Commerce and Industry Examinations Board (LCCI) have
come forward with letters of acknowledgements for the ASSETBase software.
Recognizing the ASSETBase objective to bridge academia to profession, the ACCA
and LCCI expressed their recommendations that the software be incorporated into
the SPM syllabus and contribute to at least 20% of formal assessment of SPM examination,
either in the form of coursework, school based examination or other methods in
order to be considered for exemptions and certification up to Level 2 of their
standard international examination.
ASSETDiplomat
Based on the working model with the MoE where the ASSETBase software is installed
into secondary schools nationwide as a teaching and learning tool for the 'Principles
of Accounting' subject, CBL has responded to the calling of the Ministry of Higher
Education and forwarded a proposal for the ASSETDiplomat softwre to be used as a
teaching and learning tool for the accounting subject in polytechnics and community
colleges nationwide.
GenerRes and AssessUrBook
In April 2005, CBL entered its GenerRes and AssessUrBook software at the renowned
International Exhibition of Inventions, New Techniques and Products held in Geneva,
Switzerland. Both were awarded gold medals with 'Special Mention by the Jury' for
AssessUrBook, duly recognized for its special breakthrough creation evaluating
learner performance in the preparation of each step of the accounting cycle therein
complementing the learning of accounting using the GenerRes and ASSET series packages.
Based on that platform, the GenerRes and AssessUrBook have proven to comply with
