GenerReS is designed specially as an innovative computer-based pedagogical tool for the generation of financial statements to complement traditional teaching and learning of accounting principles at the tertiary level and for training.

GenerReS is the only locally developed educational software that combines a simulation program with subject matter contents that provides full cycle accounting record keeping processes - from the generation of source documents to the preparation of financial statements. The simulation program in GenerReS is written to develop users’ technical know-how usually expected for the set-up process of commercial accounting software system. But, unlike commercial packages, the GenerReS educational courseware requires the logic of accounting principles to maintain a full set of accounts thus meeting educational needs while simulating industry practice.

GenerReS has a breakthrough product feature as it is able to allow users to self-construct the relevant financial statements in addition to generating the statements automatically according to the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) format.
